The difference between love and being in love...

I had a talk with my sister today and we have come to the conclusion that loving someone is so much better than being in love with someone.  Being in love is an emotion like anger, or sadness... Love someone is an action, it's something that will still be there when all the infatuation of being in love wears away.  What makes me sad is thatI I don't even have someone to be in love with, not to mention someone that I could LOVE for the rest of my life...
