First off, I’m seriously stoked that Katrina asked me to guest blog on Kindred Dreamheart! Thanks so much for the opportunity! My name is B. Ayesha and I am a FASHION ADDICT! I probably spend more of my time perusing fashion sites than I should. I blog and analyze fashion but, like you, I am a consumer. I know, firsthand, how frustrating it can be to try to follow fashion trends and stay within budget. I am not wealthy; I'm an everyday woman just like most of you. I'm a mother, a student, and a professional.
A lot of moms ditch style for comfort because they have so much on their plate! Believe me I know! I have three sons, I’m a college student, and I work every day! Whoo! I got tired just thinking about it!
LOL! However, you can still be fashionable and comfortable!
I call this my laid back Saturday style. The key is to add a pop of color or a funky sock. Something out of the ordinary to make an otherwise ordinary outfit take on a life of it’s on. Here I have on argyle ankle socks and oxfords. (Oxfords are from Wet Seal.)
This is my typical Friday work attire, but it can be every day wear. I paired some floral print jeans with a colored shirt, pullover sweater and wedge sneakers. Again, comfort and style can go hand in hand! (Sweater and sneakers are from TJ Maxx, floral print skinnies from Rainbow Shops.)
Work attire doesn’t have to be drab! Adding color to your outfits will uplift your spirit! Whenever I feel down, I wear bright, vibrant colors and it just makes my day! Here I paired cropped orange pants with a mustard collared shirt and striped cardigan. I added the mustard colored booties to bring the outfit together. (Booties from UrbanOG, cardigan from Ann Taylor Loft.)
Well, that’s just a few pics of what I do to try to spice up my mommy life! I know how it feels to go to all these style blogs and see a cute ensemble and then click on where to buy it and it costs 800$! That’s why I created B. Ayesha Inc and Chaussure Boite for you guys!
