I was just thinking...

Saturday night I went out to celebrate with my friends. We ended up hanging out with a group of beautiful young women. That discussion inspired me in so many ways that I don't even know how to begin to express in words the impact that night had on all of us. So much so that days later, we're still talking about it. I have so much going on in my mind and I've been through so many things in life. I always tell people that I want them to learn from my mistakes so that they won't have to endure the pains and struggles that I had to endure. These young women were so intelligent and have so much to offer the world. I hope that we inspired them to go beyond what people their age are doing and rise above all the drama of the world. It is in our nature to want to confront every wrong doing, but sometimes you have to learn to just walk away. You can't let people drain the life out of you. And believe me people will do just that if YOU let them. The key word is YOU. People can only do to you what you allow. Hold on to the people that bring positiveness to your life and part ways with people that you have constant drama. Forgive people that have did you wrong. Forgiveness is not for the other person. Forgiveness is for YOU. You can not be happy or move forward if you're holding on to the hurt anger and pain of yesterday. I thank the Lord for this time of fellowship and mentoring. It was meant for all of us to be in one place. It was meant for them to hear what we had to say. I can only hope that we impacted them in a way to make them stronger women. I am humbled and proud.
