Natural Hair Odyssey

I've been seeing a lot of naturals talk about their natural hair journey. A journey is an act of traveling from one place to another. I don't really think of this as a journey. There were a lot of things that came into play when I decided to stop getting a relaxer. I really just wanted to be able to be completely comfortable with the hair that grew naturally from my scalp. And now that I have done the big chop and actually wear it naturally everyday, I'm so proud of it. So, I'm not on a natural hair journey. I'm going to call it my natural hair odyssey. An odyssey is  a long series of wanderings or adventures, especially when filled with notable experiences, hardships, etc.  I'm quite sure I'll have wonderful hair adventures and hardships (LOL). I think that this will be a wonderful experience! Not even two whole weeks into wearing my hair natural I was featured on Natural Hair Daily's instagram feed. I know it's not much but it gave me added motivation.  I can't wait to see what happens next! Let the natural hair odyssey begin!!!!!!!!!
