Heeeyyy Guys and Dolls!!
I participated in a pop up shop. I know you're like "What the heck is a pop up shop?" Well here is the definition (credit wiki):
A pop-up retail space is a venue that is temporary: the space could be a sample sale one day and host a private cocktail party the next evening. The trend involves "popping up" one day, then disappearing anywhere from one day to several weeks later. These shops, while small and temporary, can build up interest by consumer exposure. Pop-up retail allows a company to create a unique environment that engages their customers and generates a feeling of relevance and interactivity.
So basically, you set-up temporarily to show off whatever your business is selling. And of course you guys know that I have an online boutique so this was the perfect chance to get exposure in the state that I currently reside (VA).
I don't know if you guys know this about me but I'm not very good at social interaction. LOL! I'm shy! People don't believe it but it's so true! So social media is easier for me. I get to chit chat with you great folks without having to actually be all shy and uncomfortable. LOL! HOWEVER, that's not good for my business so I'm trying to get out there more. This event is basically the first one I've actually done in this kind of setting. When I tell y'all my nerves were SHOT! Baby! I was nervous as heck! I am my brand. So when I go out, I'm representing my company and I want to do that to the best of my ability.
So I decided to wear items from my store. I chose the double side split maxi tee, high waist striped shorts and some accessories from the store.

I had an awesome time at the pop up shop. The young ladies that promoted the event was a doll. This was her first event and she did an awesome job. The other entrepreneurs that were included in the pop up shop were amazing as well. If every experience can be like this one then you guys will see more of me at different events and vendor showcases. Hopefully one day, I will have a brick and mortar building and B. Ayesha Inc and Chaussure Boite by B. Ayesha will be a household name. In the meantime, take a look at some of the photos from this event.
And I ended the day with one of my biggest supporters.
Thank you guys for reading about my triumph of social interaction! LOL! I hope you enjoyed the pictures. If you see anything you like don't forget to go to www.chaussureboite.com!
