Hey Guys & Dolls!! I'm so excited to present this week's feature on B. Ayesha's Phenomenal Allies! I'm a big supporter of small business owners. What better way to show my support but by featuring them and helping to get their name out, right? Here's another week of awesomeness!
So without further ado, Let me introduce to you Aurora Borealis of Camellia & Rose!
B. Ayesha: Running your own business can become overwhelming at times. What motivates you to keep going?
Aurora: I am excited every time I get an order because I get to be creative, I am passionate about what I make, I love my products. The business side is like a puzzle game and I'm competitive and ultimately I want to win. I like flying by the seat of pants and not knowing whats going to happen next. And I love the twist and turns my life is taking and the people I am meeting.
B. Ayesha: What advice would you give other aspiring entrepreneurs?
Aurora: Follow that "feeling." Follow your highest excitement when it comes to the products or services you provide. If you feel excited about it then you will have no problem selling to others. Do what you want to do, how you want to do it. Its wise to take advice from others, I do, but its also perfect to trust your own intelligence. And finally share the love, stay open, align yourself with a team of people who are like minded in business so that you can support and promote each other. This business would be absolutely no fun for me if i didn't have people in the trenches with me everyday encouraging me and I them.

So without further ado, Let me introduce to you Aurora Borealis of Camellia & Rose!
B. Ayesha: What is your name?
Aurora: My name is Aurora Borealis
B. Ayesha: What is the name of your business?
Aurora: Camellia & Rose
B. Ayesha: How long have you been in business (anniversary)?
B. Ayesha: How did you get started in this business?
Aurora: I have been an artist all of my life from writing, photography, painting, sewing, paper mache, and etc . . . The topic of how I got into this business, why I love art, what I love about art, and what specifically inspires me is something that I can go on and on about, please excuse my rambling, I'll try to be brief. The beauty and magnificence of flowers are inspiring to me. I would walk past flowers on my morning walks and I would pray to GOD to make me as beautiful as the flowers. I started studying the healing properties of flowers and other plants. My favorites where the Camellia and Rose. The Camellia and Rose flowers are edible. Camellia helps you get in touch with your inner child and helps heal your connection to yourself. People use Rose water to beautify themselves and tighten their skin. I had a plan to work with essential oils to make hyrdrosals but that plan fell through when I saw how much plant product you need in order to make just a little bit of essential oil. So I use the essential oils in the cupcake and whipped cream soaps I make. I had a plant to make flower crowns but everyone is doing that, so I made lace mask because I absolutely am in love with lace, That's how I started making Bunny Ear Veils.
B. Ayesha: What are the biggest issues for running this type of business?
Aurora: Time management and money management are my two biggest issues. Sometimes I have so many orders coming in I'm flustered by how fast things go. Lately I haven't had time to sit down and make sure I am doing right by my yield. I have an issue with everyone wanting their order to come to them so fast. Its just lil'old me and my two hands and I'm learning as I go. Lately I have had a bit of an attitude when customers want discounts and faster shipments. It doesn't behoove me to make the money I deserve for the work that I do so, I've to grow more of a back bone. I want the customer to be happy but lately I'm learning not everyone is going to be happy with me. Also, my bunny ear veil picture is what sells the product, I've had to put a disclaimer that those bunny ears on a dummy's head made to fit the dummy head, it may look different on each person. So yeah, time management, money management, and how to please customers are my biggest issues.
B. Ayesha: What is the future for this type of business?
Aurora: The sky is the limit for each individual business, its hard for me to say where this type of business will go because its whatever I want since I am creating the business as I put my ideas out there. The ultimate for me would be to have my own live boutique and not just have small gift items but to be able to take as much time I want painting, and making more avant garde items.
