B. Ayesha's Phenomenal Allies Feature: JELI

Hey Guys & Dolls!! I'm so excited to present this week's feature on B. Ayesha's Phenomenal Allies! I'm a big supporter of small business owners. What better way to show my support but by featuring them and helping to get their name out, right? Here's another week of awesomeness!

I'm pleased to introduce to you Takai Ferguson , Founder of JELI!

B. Ayesha: What is your name?
Takai: Takai Ferguson

B. Ayesha: What is the name of your business?
Takai: The name of my business is JELI which stands for Just Elegant Ladies in business

B. Ayesha: How long have you been in business (anniversary)?
Takai: I am very new and have only been in business for almost 3 months. My business anniversary is November 14th.

B. Ayesha: How did you get started in this business?
Takai: JELI started because I have always enjoyed baking, and planning events. I have assisted family members and friends with putting things together if not doing all the planning myself and seemed to be pretty good at it, so I decided that I should talk with a couple family members and create a team an assist a diverse group as well as put some smiles on faces with my treats and epic events.

B. Ayesha: What are the biggest issues for running this type of business?

Takai: Currently my biggest issue is getting a client base, and really marketing my services.

B. Ayesha: Running your own business can become overwhelming at times. What motivates you to keep going?
Takai: Running my own business gets very overwhelming at times. It seems that there  just aren't enough hours to get everything done. The thing that keeps me going is the feeling of fulfillment when I see my sons face excited because I just scored a sale. I keep going for him. I want Him and my Nieces and Nephew to know anything is possible if you work hard and want it! God will deliver whatever is in your heart! Most importantly I lost my grandmother in October of 2014 and I promised her that I would "Dance" meaning I would never give up and always give my best, be strong, be bold, and make her Proud.

B. Ayesha: What is the future for this type of business?
Takai: WOW that is a great question the future for an event coordinating business as well as a sweet treat shop I'd say if done properly ( I'm still working on what that looks like) is bright and full of Growth. Event planning is a very lucrative business, and sweets well they never do out of style.

B. Ayesha: What advice would you give other aspiring entrepreneurs?
Takai: I would say to any aspiring entrepreneurs Never give up always believe in yourself ! Be your biggest cheerleader.
