B. Ayesha's Phenomenal Allies Feature: Makeup By J. Brenae'

Hey Guys & Dolls!!

I'm so excited to present this week's feature on B. Ayesha's Phenomenal Allies! I'm a big supporter of small business owners. What better way to show my support than by featuring them and helping to get their name out, right? Here's another week of awesomeness!

I'm pleased to introduce to you JaLauna Anderson, Founder of Makeup By J. Brenae'!

B. Ayesha: What is your name?
J. Brenae': My name is JaLauna Anderson but some know me as J. Brenae'.
B. Ayesha: What is the name of your business?
J. Brenae': The name of my business is Makeup By J. Brenae'.
B. Ayesha: How long have you been in business (anniversary)?
J. Brenae': I officially went in to business in January of 2011.
B. Ayesha: How did you get started in this business?
J. Brenae': I've always had a thing for all thing beauty. At age 12 I started asking my grandmother to buy me makeup. I knew my mom wouldn't lol. I would do my makeup all the time. Friends began asking me to do theirs as well. Then they referred friends. After a while I thought as much as I love doing makeup I can not continue doing it for free. From there My Pretty Face formed which is now Makeup By J. Brenae'.
B. Ayesha: What are the biggest issues for running this type of business?
J. Brenae': The biggest issue I've come across has to be scheduling conflicts. I hate to tell my clients I'm not available. It happens from time to time trying to take care of my clients as well as take care of my family.
B. Ayesha: Running your own business can become overwhelming at times. What motivates you to keep going?
J. Brenae': My passion is my motivation. There is nothing better than getting paid to do something that you absolutely love. Also, the reactions I get when clients see their makeup look completed is so rewarding.
B. Ayesha: What is the future for this type of business?
J. Brenae': I believe the future of being a makeup artist is very prosperous. Makeup is steadily evolving and trends are continually changing. I look forward to evolving right along with it. I continue to invest in my craft learning as much as possible so that I may provide my clients with a quality service and properly educate others in one on one sessions as well as bigger makeup classes that I plan to start in the near future.
B. Ayesha: What advice would you give other aspiring entrepreneurs?
J. Brenae': There will be times when you may fail, there will be ups and downs, times where you want to throw in the towel, etc but keep pressing towards the mark. Nothing in life comes easy...running a business requires a lot of time, effort and hard work. There are no days off when you're building your brand. Invest in your business and watch is flourish.

B. Ayesha: Is there anything else you would like my readers to know about you and/or your business?
J. Brenae': I am very appreciative of my clients. A lot of them have become friends. They've helped my business grow and believed in me even when I didn't believe in myself. I also can not end without thanking God for the talent He has bestowed upon me. I am forever grateful.
