Is your main thing still your main thing?

Greetings!

     Hello there! Hello! Hi! Hiya!

It's a lovely Thursday here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas today. The sun is shining. The temperature is pleasant and it just so happens to be a very good friend's bearthday today. I'm excited about the shenanigans that will mark her celebration this evening. Covid-19 has pulled the creativity out of us all in some way or another. More to come on this later!

This morning, before sending her a message, I happened to look at the quote associated with my personal contact listing in my phone today. It was something I came across a while ago and added but it hit me like a heavy weight this morning. The quote says, “The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.” Whoa! I wasn't ready for this at all today.

After reading this again, I began to question my actions as of late. Am I staying true to my main thing? Has my main thing changed? (The words "main thing" will probably drive you crazy when I'm done.) Do I need to reassess the steps I'm taking to actively and continuously pursue my main thing? Is having a main thing even necessary?

I took a journey this morning into self. One I was not planning to take but spontaneous trips are always an exciting experience in which I welcome. I always gain so much from them. New insight, fresh ideas, a sense of clarity and most importantly, peace.

I realized, my main thing is definitely still my main thing and I'm doing exactly what I need to be doing. It has not changed. I may consider adding some additional steps in pursuing my main thing which gives me something to explore.

Identifying and pursuing your main thing is absolutely worthwhile. I believe it is what drives us all. Your main thing may be saving the earth, animals and people. You may be into creating art, spaces or places that appeal to specific people or the masses. Your main thing may be an individual person. <<< If my last sentence is true, make sure it is you first! (This subject could turn into an entire blog series or book!) Whew! I'm moving on.

Whatever it is, if it is truly your main thing, your P.oised purpose, stay true to it.

Writing this blog today, has given me an extra push and I hope it helps you as well. There is nothing wrong with reevaluating your direction. In fact, it is essential!

Until next time remain...P.O.I.S.E.D.
