B. Ayesha: How long have you been in business (anniversary)?
Tamara: I been in business for almost 2 yrs now. March is my anniversary month.
B. Ayesha: How did you get started in this business?
Tamara: A love for phone cases. I wanted a phone case to match how I felt from day to day.
B. Ayesha: What are the biggest issues for running this type of business?
Tamara: Staying motivated is my biggest issue. One thing that I figured out when I first started customizing phone cases was that it was actually a stress reliever for me and I have created what I feel to be some of my best pieces.
B. Ayesha: Running your own business can become overwhelming at times. What motivates you to keep going?
Tamara: When someone says, that they are proud of me, that really keeps me going. Also knowing that I'm not the only entrepreneur that has had difficulties with running a business.
B. Ayesha: What is the future for this type of business?
Tamara: I put my business in the fashion category and since I feel that fashion is always evolving. Everyone needs that one accessory that allows them to stand out from everyone else, so my goal is to add the distinctive piece that sets you aside from everyone else.
B. Ayesha: What advice would you give other aspiring entrepreneurs?
Tamara: Never be afraid to ask for help. Believe in yourself and your dream even when no else will. If you have a passion, follow your heart.
